The Head of Branding and Storytelling plays a critical role in shaping the brand image and narrative of our health technology company, DRO Health. The candidate for this role will be responsible for establishing and executing a comprehensive branding strategy, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels. They will lead a team of creative professionals, content creators, and marketing specialists to create compelling stories that differentiate our company and engage our target audience. They will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and collaborate closely with other key stakeholders to amplify the company’s brand visibility and drive business growth.

Brand Strategy Development: You would be responsible for developing and implementing the overall brand strategy for the EHR startup. This involves defining the brand’s positioning, target audience, brand values, and unique selling propositions. You would work closely with the executive team to align the brand strategy with the company’s vision and goals.
Storytelling and Messaging: Your role would involve crafting compelling stories and messages that effectively communicate the value and benefits of the EHR startup’s products and services. You would develop a clear and consistent brand voice and ensure that the messaging resonates with the target audience. This includes creating engaging content for various channels such as the website, social media, blog posts, and marketing materials.
Content Creation and Management: You would oversee the creation and management of content related to the EHR startup’s brand. This includes developing content marketing strategies, producing high-quality written and visual content, and ensuring that the content aligns with the brand’s messaging and tone. You may collaborate with internal teams or external agencies to create content that educates, informs, and engages the target audience.
Brand Identity and Visual Design: You would play a key role in defining and managing the brand’s visual identity. This involves developing the brand guidelines, including the logo, colour palette, typography, and visual elements. You would ensure consistency in the application of the brand identity across all touchpoints, including the website, marketing materials, presentations, and user interfaces.
Market Research and Competitor Analysis: To effectively position the EHR startup’s brand in the market, you would conduct market research and competitor analysis. This includes staying updated on industry trends, understanding customer needs and preferences, and identifying opportunities for differentiation. You would use this information to refine the brand strategy and messaging.
Team Leadership and Collaboration: As the head of this function, you would lead a team of branding and content professionals. You would provide guidance, set goals, and foster a collaborative and creative work environment. Additionally, you would collaborate cross-functionally with other teams such as marketing, product development, and sales to ensure brand consistency and alignment across all touchpoints.
Brand Monitoring and Measurement: It’s essential to monitor the effectiveness of the branding and storytelling efforts. You would establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of the brand initiatives. Regularly analyzing data and feedback, you would make data-driven decisions to optimize and improve the brand strategy and storytelling approach.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Proven track record of at least 3 years in branding, marketing, or related roles, with a focus on brand development and storytelling.
Extensive experience creating and executing successful branding strategies for a consumer-oriented organization.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
Exceptional creativity and innovative thinking, with the ability to translate ideas into visual and written content.
Proficient in utilizing various marketing tools, Content Management Systems (CMS), and design software.
Familiarity with digital marketing techniques, social media platforms, and SEO practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and insights into actionable strategies.
Demonstrated project management experience, including managing budgets and meeting tight deadlines.
Experience in the healthcare or telehealth industry is preferred but not mandatory.
